For a friends 50th Birthday I was looking at cakes when I came across the idea for a Saggy Boob Scarf! Loved the idea so I packed up the kids and headed to Wallmart to find some skin toned fabric:) After four failed attempt I finally got a decent decent shape to the boobs!! I tried adding rice as some people said they had used, but felt like the scarf was choking me, so I ended up going with pillow batting. I added some baby bottle nipples, just cut off the part that the bottle holds onto, and used spray adhesive. My Mom also turns 50 this year so the next one should take 20 mins to cut out and sew!! I also had just shopped at Victoria's Secret and still had the bag, so I cut out Fabulous 50 on the Cricut and glued it to the bag! Also made a cute card to match but forgot to get pict's! The gift was a hit!! She wore it all night!! And everyone played with her nipples!!lol

Love love love how they turned out! I need to go get a couple more pairs of flip flops to refashion!! Just hope that they don't fall apart as I couldn't get E-6000 glue here in Whitecourt! Guess I'll find out!

Late Happy St. Paddy's

For Saint Patrick's Day I volunteered to make a themed snack for the kindergarten class and their Gr. 5 Buddies, So I made 40 green jello's with green whipping cream and rainbow sprinkles!! So yummy:) Also made some time to make some silver satin flowers, so pretty, to see what they look like.

More She Art Workshop Stuff

So I was playing around with my first girl and tried fixing her, but still not happy! Had so much fun with the background but the girl is quite challenging, for me!! I'm much happier with the 2nd girl but need to find a way to fix her chicken legs!! I'm working on my 3rd now, getting a bit easier but still find the girl frustrating!! Might need to go back and re-watch some of the She Art Workshop video's!! But still having fun with the process!! I have been watching donna downey lately and she is just so inspiring and full of creativeness!!

be mine

Yesterday after going to the dentist!!!! I was so tired, and since I'm not a napper I decide to play with some goodies I picked up in the city on the weekend as a Birthday gift to myself:) I bought Websterspages Hollywood Vogue and Wonderfall Paper kits:) Although I am a little annoyed that somebody swapped the sticker sheet in the Wonderfall collection with Waiting for Santa!!!!!! Might have to buy a digi copy and print out my own! Also bought a package of the Netting, tired to incorporate some on my "be mine" heart but it just wasn't working....
So for my heart I drew a heart on cardboard and cut it out, teared it up a bit and added some Hollywood Vouge Paper and Alpha stickers. Used some Prima flowers and bling:) Added some feathers and a little bit of crackle paint to distress it and added a few beads to the string to hang it from. Also cut and ruffled up some brown paper bag and glued it to the back:)
Pretty happy with this quick project, and it took my mind off my frozen mouth and the fact that I couldn't drink coffee!!!

Also the color difference in the spruce branches was not nearly this bad in real life! Will be making a few more of these, so quick and easy! Cheap too with the sales at Micheals:)

Photoshop and Pink Paisley

On the Pink Paisley blog they have some really sweet vintage style downloadable free Christmas Postcards!! My only problem was not knowing anything about Photoshop!!!! So I asked a good friend for some help!! After getting a short lesson I was able to make my Christmas Postcard, yeah! This year I didn't bother fighting with my dear hubby for a nice family photo to send out to family and friends, I decided to get a digital copy of the kids with Santa and send that instead!

Yesterday I made a nice centerpiece for my mom's Christmas party with some beautiful red and white roses and greenery, including pine, spruce and juniper but I was running late to get over and help make appetizers that I completely forgot to get a pict. until I was back home and ready for bed!

Yudu

Yesterday I dragged the kids into the city to Buy my Yudu (A present from my dad for Christmas)
They were on sale:) $160 off and a free mesh screen and also there was a coupon for 15% off so I managed to get all the inks and other items needed to start creating!!! yeah! So today after doing more research I decided to give it a go! Went pretty well, learned a few thing and now I have a few more things to research!! I really think this will be a great toy!!! Just need some more practice! I used the Cricut to cut out the snowman on vinyl, layed it on the mesh screen, tapped around the image (so ink only is transfered through image) found a few old shirts to play with, applied ink and set it after letting it dry to touch... Sounds simple enough, but took a while longer than I anticipated!!! I made 5 shirts and this was the best image, ink is still wet in picture giving it a spotting look! Kids think this is GREAT!! I think making my own screen's will turn out better, but they are a lot more time consuming, so they'll have to wait a few more days!! I'm going to make a few company shirts for my Mom and her Hubby as they recently bought a business, hope they like:)

So I made one of these crepe flower balls in about two and a half hours! I still need to make a few more, one size smaller and one size larger and also in white! They will end up being decorations in a girlfriends wedding:) Can't wait to have a craft room with a area for shooting shots of my creations!! Found directions for these here http://houseofsmiths.blogspot.com/2010/02/hanging-roses-i-was-browsing-blogs.html
Can't believe how perfectly round she made them!! Guess I need more practice!!

It's been driving me nut's that I haven't had time to get crafty lately!!!! So after folding some laundry I did two of these super easy and cute toilet paper pumpkins:) Covered the TP in newspaper, cut out a flat quarter of burlap, wrapped the TP and sprayed with velum adhesive (all I could find in my mess) and sprinkled with glitter! Done in 10 minutes!

Summer is Over!!

So hopefully I'll have more time to get crafty!!! I managed to make a super quick card yesterday for my mom and her hubby! They were celebrating their twelve year wedding anniversary!!
Also, my last two crafty items never made it here, so here they are too! A birthday card for a girlfriend celebrating her 30th birthday!! and also a shadow box I made for a family reunion auction we went to!! Crossing my fingers that I'll have more time for "me" as the kids have started kindergarten!!! They are loving it:)
